1855 Sidehammer Pocket Revolver 3.5" barrel. Often referred to as the Root Model. This design was created by Elisha K. Root, and represents Colt's first solid-frame percussion revolver. It is recognizable by is distinct side-mounted hammer. Serial # 13613 with original case containing a copper powder flask, bullet mold and sprue cutter, cap tin, and lead balls. $2,000-3,000 Provenance: Berolzheimer Family Collection.

Very good condition, showing even patina, walnut grips retain aged varnish with some handling marks.
