Arapaho Beaded Tobacco Bag 23.5" including 6" of fringe x 5.5" at widest point, made from Native-tanned deer or antelope hide, beaded with very small beads. Circa 1890. $3,000-4,000 Provenance: Antiques and Oddities, Bingen, WA; Collection of Jeb Taylor.

Condition

Beadwork shows minor losses on edge of the main panel. Some quillwork missing on a 8-10 slats. Hide is soft and supple, but there are several closed tears on the rim and edge. Beads show evidence of smoke.
