Navajo Rug
5'11" x 3'7" canvas-tight weaving likely from the Red Mesa area. Intricately designed chevrons fill the beautifully hand-carded grey-brown field. Woven from all Native, hand-carded, handspun and hand-dyed long staple Churro cross sheep wools on a wool warp. Circa 1930.

No a/b sides. Remnants of tassels. One side near 1 end shows some pinkish-red color in the ivory field, only visible on one side.
