Navajo Rug
8'6" x 4'8" Red Mesa area rug with a broad, multi-layered outer border and a very fancy designed field on a beautifully hand-carded gray-brown background. Very finely woven from Native long-staple, silky-smooth Churro sheep wools on a wool warp. Circa 1915.

Slight a/b sides - one side is slightly faded. Tassels intact. Some slight bleed visible in areas throughout, red to ivory, visible on both sides. Otherwise fine condition.
