Navajo Blanket
5'9" x 5'1" serape wearing blanket with a striped chisel tooth design in colors of hand-dyed Indigo and salmon, red, natural ivory white and dark brown. Woven from luxurious Native first-cross Spanish Churro sheep wools on a wool warp. Displays beautifully on a blanket stand. Circa 1885.

Very slight a/b sides. One side slightly faded. Remnants of tassels visible. Minor bleed, red to ivory, visible in the 2 x 2 area near one corner.
