Northern Plains Beaded and Quilled Pipebag
32" long overall including 8" beaded panel, 5" quilled panel and 11" of fringe. Different beaded designs on both sides. Rare pipe motif beaded on upper panel, beaded on buffalo hide. Circa 1880s.
Tag attached stating: "Wozuha Pipe Bag of Buffalo Hide. The beaded design is intended to represent a prairie chicken (siyo). This was obtained from White Feather a [sic] Cherry Creek. It was given to him by his father when he was 20 yrs old, 1875. He has had it ever since."

Condition
Beadwork is excellent, quillwork is bright overall with losses in a couple areas. Hide shows some minor discoloration, fringe is somewhat stiff but still shows some yellow ochre.
