Rare pipe motif beaded on upper panel, beaded on buffalo hide. Circa 1880s. Tag attached stating: "Wozuha Pipe Bag of Buffalo Hide. The beaded design is intended to represent a prairie chicken (siyo). This was obtained from White Feather a [sic] Cherry Creek. It was given to him by his father when he was 20 yrs old, 1875. He has had it ever since." $2,500-3,500 Provenance: Glen Maddox Collection.

Beadwork is excellent, quillwork is bright overall with losses in a couple areas. Hide shows some minor discoloration, fringe is somewhat stiff but still shows some yellow ochre.
