George Kopp Flintlock Kentucky Long Rifle 38" octagon barrel, 53.5" overall length. Beautiful tiger-stripe maple stock, distinctive silver inlays along forestock and wrist. Fitted with brass furniture including engraved patchbox. $2,000-3,000 Provenance: Private Collection, Anacortes, WA.

 

George Kopp (1765–1835) – Berks County, Pennsylvania
George Kopp was a respected Reading-area gunsmith whose rifles reflected the graceful lines and understated carving that defined the Berks County school. He served on local militia rolls in the 1790s.

Condition

Stock is fine, engraving is clear. Fine condition overall. Please call for more photos and details.
