Navajo Rug
8'5" x 5'2", likely from the Hubbell Trading Post area. Designed with stepped diamonds and half diamonds in colors of red, ivory white and dark chocolate brown on a beautifully variegated grayish brown field. Stylized combs and stick men are filler motifs. Woven from all Native handspun and hand-carded, long-staple Churro sheep wool on a wool warp. Circa 1915.

No a/b sides. Remnants of corner tassels are visible. One nickel sized dark stain visible on one end, isolated to one side, otherwise excellent condition.
