Navajo Rug
18’2” x 8’4”. A beautiful Montana-sized floor rug most likely from the Crystal Trading Post region. The design is an elaborate layout of spiraling black and white stepped motifs all on a hand carded, wonderfully variegated grayish brown field. Navajo floor rugs don’t get much larger than this one. Woven from all Native handspun Churro cross sheep wool on a wool warp. Circa 1930.
