Navajo Rug
5' x 3'10". A dandy rug-in-a-rug design most likely from the Red Mesa area designed with a rich, deep red surrounding border. Nice feathers and small diamonds accent the weaving nicely. The field is a beautifully handcarded, warm grey-brown. A wonderful piece of wall art woven from all Native handspun, long staple Churro sheep wools on a wool warp. Circa 1920.
