Southern Cheyenne Beaded Dress Large 36" yoke, 60" long overall including the fringe. Decorated with more than 600 cowry shells, red dried seeds/berries and fringe drops on buffalo hide. Accented with yellow, green and red ochred hide. Sinew sewn. Circa 1880. $12,000-18,000 Beadwork is excellent. Hide is soft and supple showing only a few areas of discoloration/staining throughout. Also shows a few areas of possible older repair. Excellent condition considering age.
