Navajo Rug 8'9" x 4'10" finely woven Hubbell Cross rug. Features spider woman concentric crosses throughout the gorgeous hand-carded and highly variegated steel-gray field. The bold, central medallion is quite impressive. Woven from all Native handspun, hand-carded and hand-woven, all hand-dyed, silky-smooth, long-staple Churro sheep wool on a wool warp. Circa 1910. $9,000-12,000 Provenance: The Brad Watts Estate, Arizona, Ranchfolks Navajo Rugs.
No a/b sides. Three corner tassels intact with remnants of fourth. Some minor bleed visible throughout. One quarter sized brown stain visible in one cross motif, showing through to both sides. Otherwise excellent.
